1. Should you choose single-sided or double-sided plastic pallets?
The first factor to consider is the type of forklift you use. If you use manual hydraulic pallet jacks (commonly known as "pallet trucks")-or a mix of manual jacks and mechanical forklifts-then double-sided pallets are not an option, as manual jacks cannot be used with them. If your facility relies exclusively on mechanical or electric forklifts, then either single-sided or double-sided pallets are suitable choices.
2. Don't base your purchase solely on price and product weight!
Since plastic pallets are typically blue, it is easy for manufacturers to use recycled plastic; this disrupts market order and causes financial loss for buyers. Some buyers also use weight as the primary benchmark for comparing prices. Savvy manufacturers have caught onto this tendency and exploit consumer psychology by adding heavy fillers-such as calcium carbonate-to the plastic. This lowers production costs and artificially increases the product's weight, all while keeping the consumer in the dark.
3. When purchasing plastic pallets, aim for higher specifications rather than lower ones. What does this mean?
For example, if your actual operational requirement involves a dynamic load of 0.8 tons, you should purchase a pallet rated for at least 1 ton. This accounts for factors like material aging and rough handling by workers. Choosing a higher specification effectively extends the pallet's service life and saves costs in the long run.
4. Choosing the right manufacturer!
The number of plastic pallet manufacturers is growing, but many companies cut corners or pass off inferior goods as high-quality products. Buyers should opt for established manufacturers with a proven track record. These companies possess extensive technical expertise and experience, ensuring reliable product quality and excellent after-sales support should any issues arise.
