Automation and integration technologies enable tote boxes to seamlessly integrate into modern production lines. Through modular design, these totes can incorporate various automated mechanisms. One patented modular tote unit, for instance, integrates an anti-rotation roller mechanism, a baffle adjustment mechanism, and a support plate lifting mechanism.
A wedge-shaped slider controls roller contact with the working surface, enabling switching between a stationary, non-slip state and a rolling, transport state; the support plate lifting mechanism adjusts the contact between the workpiece and the rollers; and the baffle adjustment mechanism retracts during workpiece transport while providing collision protection during storage. Such designs allow the totes to interface with conveyor belts and integrate directly into automated production equipment, making them particularly suitable for the storage, handling, and inter-process transfer of small, precision parts.
